Former NFL defensive back Rashad Barksdale hosted his 6th annual “Run This Town” charity basketball event at his alma mater the last weekend in February. The money raised goes toward Barksdale’s scholarship foundation for Hudson High School students who are entering college.
The 31-year-old played baseball at Hudson Valley Community College and transferred to UAlbany, where he played both baseball and football before playing one season in the NFL. Barksdale earned an associate in science degree in Individual Studies at Hudson Valley in Dec. 2004.
